My Dreams

I've been doing on videos on youtube, as many of you know, and have been having pretty good success with it, considering I barely put out vids. It seems many like them!

I did eventually realize how much I love doing it though. School and being a news reporter takes up a lot of my time, but I did realize something else...I kind of have a secret dream of being a beauty spokesperson.

I think I've proben in my real life and videos that I could do commercials. I have a very intense acting background in my past with my family as well as myself, and people always told me I'd probably have a very successful career as one. I never really go into acting but I'd love to do commercial work with some of my favorite beauty brands.

Maybe more opportunities will come up for me if I continue YOUTUBE and get more subs. Who knows? All I know is that I love doing reviews and telling all of you the truthful facts about drugstore beauty. Hopefully my favorite brands like St. Ives or Olay or COVERGIRL will pick me up someday and I'll get be fun, flirty and fabulous!

What is Beauty?

Everyone that knows me through twitter, knows I love to observe people. Half of the reason why I am majoring in Sociology is because I love to observe and work with other individuals.

The number one thing I see on a consistent basis is low self-esteem and everyone's explanation of beauty. It is so diverse and yes, diversity makes the world beautiful but it's also incredibly negative.

I hate seeing individuals who can't love themselves for who they are. Another reason why I chose to work closely with Journalism and the media is because I want to help change perceptions of beauty. There need to be more individuals who want to spread the word of what beauty really is...

Beauty is what is different about everyone. I know, I work with makeup and doing reviews on YOUTUBE but what is the number one thing I say on there during every video...? To cater each product to YOU. I say it because I mean it. I want all of you to understand that what may not work on me, may work on you. And to not be disappointed if you can not pull off a certain look. Do your research and find something that works for you.

I love makeup and fashion, but I always make sure I never 100% go with the trends but also go with what looks great on me. Everyone needs to remember that not everything will look perfect on you. Hell, half the things that look amazing on skinny models looks revolting on them; but we are trained to think its beautiful when it may not be.

All I'm saying is, let us all take a good look at ourselves in the mirror. Strip down to your undies and look at every flaw at your body. You may realize you love something you didn't before.

REVAMPED!

So I decided to revamp the blog completely!

I had been so horrible in making posts but I just really hated the way it looked. I wanted to make it a bit more personal to me and everyone else! So here are the improvements, for now! It's a lot simpler yet creative and I'd basically continue to rotate the image I put on my banner per mood/season so it's always brand new!

It will get better and better as time goes on and I continue my education!

But on here, I'll be posting fashion shots, life updates, video updates, etc. etc.

I am going to try to post AT LEAST every other day...no matter how busy I get! My schedule is just absolutely hectic so I am unsure of how that will be!

But anyway, my first post here will also include my first tutorial EVER! I did a toned down version/inspiration of the Prison Look from Lady Gaga's "Telephone" Video. It got incredibly good reception so I think I'm going to keep doing tutorials-only once in a while though!

But here it is, my first ever youtube tutorial!
